Hey Perky!

Excited to share…it’s Fall!

…and I have to confess something…the only reason I know it’s Fall is because of 2 things:

  1. The kids go back to school! That’s worthy of some serious hallelujahs right there!
  2. Starbuck’s let’s the WHOLE WORLD KNOW with trumpets aloud… It’s Pumpkin Spiced Latte time!

I have to admit before I became the small batch, craft roasted and exclusive coffee girl…I’d live for this time of year so that I could get my excited little hands on a Grande Coconut Milk Pumpkin Spiced Latte… but now, I’m more about raising a family that LOVES in a big way. Making coffee that makes me feel GOOD after I drink it and surrounding myself with encouraging, inspiring people so that I can grow from love and curiosity instead of fear and struggle.

So, I crafted a recipe I am SO excited to share with you!

My version on the Pumpkin Spiced Latte – The Perky Pumpkin Latte! We used fresh coffee and the flavor is incredible. I’d love for you to try it as well and let me know what you think!

Cheers!

The Perky Pumpkin Latte

½ cup milk (I use coconut milk for the high fats and low sugar since I try and lower my sugar content lately)

1 tbsp canned pumpkin puree

¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup Happy Happy coffee brewed or french press

2 tbsp half and half

1 tsp sugar (or you can use a sugar alternative like xylitol)

Whipped cream

Nutmeg

In microwave safe bowl, whisk first four ingredients together. Microwave until frothy, approximately one to two minutes. Watch carefully to avoid boiling over. Pour mixture into tall mug, then add coffee. Next, add cream and sugar. Stir well. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle of nutmeg if you’d like.

That’s it! Not too hard, eh? Oh and if microwaving isn’t your thing, totally fine too. you can get a mixer and mix until frothy as well. I’m here to help you simplify your lives, Perkies! 🙂

Enjoy the coffee and let me know what you think! After you try it, I’ll invite you to trying it spiked with a little homemade Kahlua. My friend Tamzin Cochrane, The Food Activist, made some for me for my birthday…and OH. MY. Word. Comment below and let me know you’d like her recipe and I can see if she’ll be willing to share!

HUGS to you and your coffee too,
